Throughout the school year, the Waubonsie Valley Counseling Department offers a variety of informational presentations. Presentations will be made available in an online format. Some presentations will be offered in a live environment, while others will be made available through pre-recorded videos. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission lead the Warrior Community in a lesson on the Financial Aid Process on September 17, 2020. This presentation covers the basics of financial aid including FAFSA, grants, loans, work study and other options for financing college expenses.

Frank Palmasani, author of “Right College, Right Price” will discuss how you can maximize your opportunities for scholarships and grants – thus reduce your college sticker price. He will also share his unique method of finding “financial fits,” affordable college options.

Superintendent Dr. Adrian Talley will discuss scholarships, financial aid and some tips to help make the process easier with our high school guidance directors.
