Course Registration Timeline at Waubonsie Valley
This site will continue to be updated throughout the course selection season as additional resources/information become available.
Current Waubonsie Valley Students December 2024- Course selection materials are posted to the Waubonsie Valley Counseling Department, Student Splash Page and Main WVHS websites. Early January- Families will receive a letter from the district office containing their student's 2025-26 initial placements, based on standardized test scores. January 15th-January 22nd- StudentVue & ParentVue are open to view initial placements and select additional courses. Course selections should be entered by January 22nd. Courses are NOT filled on a first come first served basis. All course requests received by this date will receive equal consideration. Students and families may log into StudentVue / ParentVue and complete course registration over multiple sessions. January 8th- Course Exchange Day held at Waubonsie Valley. Students have the opportunity to visit four course presentations to learn about opportunities for the 2024-25 school year. Click Here to learn more. January 6th-15th- Teachers to discuss initial placements and options for the next course in their academic sequence. January 22nd-February 21st- Current high school students meet with counselors to finalize course selection. Meetings will take place during the student's assigned Science class. February 21st- Last day for current high school students to request level changes. Contact academic department chair to discuss level change. May 2025- Course requests are viewable in StudentVue / ParentVue to verify registered classes. May 12th-May 23rd- Students may request elective changes. Requests must be submitted via Google Form and will be processed on a space available basis. Requests received during this window are not guaranteed. Level changes will be reviewed by academic department chairs. Mid August 2025- Schedules viewable online through StudentVue / ParentVue. Incoming Freshmen December 2025- Course selection materials are posted to the Waubonsie Valley Counseling Department, Student Splash Page and Main WVHS websites. December- WV Staff visit 8th grade students during Achieve periods. Resources include videos and handouts about the course selection process, Initial Placements, and how students can update their Initial Placements. Early January- Families will receive a letter from the district office outlining their student's 2025-26 initial placements for core academic classes. January 15th-January 22nd- ParentVue is open to view initial placements for core academic classes and select additional courses. Course selections should be entered by January 22nd. Courses are NOT filled on a first come first served basis. All course requests received by this date will receive equal consideration. Early January- Waubonsie Valley Gold Ambassadors (freshmen students) will visit 8th grade Achieve classes to talk about freshman year courses and high school course selection. January 15th- Waubonsie Valley 8th Grade Open House will begin at 6:30pm. Resources will be available online following the in person presentation. February 21st- Last day for incoming freshmen to request level/elective changes. Contact academic department chair to discuss level change. January 27th- February 21st- WVHS counselors will visit feeder middle schools and meet individually with each student to review course selections & answer questions. May 2025- Course requests are viewable in StudentVue / ParentVue to verify registered classes. May 12th-May 23rd- Students may request elective changes.
