Standardized Testing at Waubonsie Valley
School Testing (2020-21)
During the 2020-21 school year, students at Waubonsie Valley are scheduled to take the following standardized exams:
Advance Placement Testing
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Waubonsie Valley High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they are enrolled in. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition or providing other benefits at the collegiate level.
Registration for 2021 AP Exams began during the first week of school in many AP classes. The exam registration process was simplified this year and will look slightly different than it has in the past. For the 2021 Exam season, students will be automatically registered for an AP Exam once they use their AP course “Join Code” through the College Board Website. The exam fee of $99 will be charged to the student’s PushCoin account in the spring of 2021. It is important that all AP students register for their AP Classroom using the teacher provided “Join Code” no later than November 1, 2020.
Because of the uncertainty of Covid-19 and Remote Learning, College Board is waiving exam cancelation fees this year, however late registration fees are still in place. It is for this reason that we are recommending all students register for their AP Exam before November 1st. Students who are uncertain of their testing status can cancel their exam up until the day of the exam with no financial penalty. This gives students the maximum amount of time to prepare for the AP Exam before making a final testing decision. Students who register late will be charged a $40 late fee per exam.
