School Counselors:
Traditional "guidance" counselors were utilized primarily in the academic and post-secondary planning areas of high school. As professional school counselors, our training includes skills and knowledge to support students with their social-emotional needs through individual and group education.

"School counselors implement strategies and activities to help all students enhance their social/emotional development – the mindsets and behaviors students need to manage emotions and learn and apply interpersonal skills" - ASCA Position Statement

Social Workers:
Social workers are available to support all students in social and emotional problem-solving and emotional management brought on by peer and academic-related stressors. We offer individual, group, and crisis support. Social workers strive to promote positive mental health awareness and strategies through school-wide initiatives.

Mental Health Coordinator:

The mental health coordinator provides executive functioning and social emotional supports to medically absent students as they transition back to school.  The mental health coordinator also assists with the coordination of district initiatives, building mental health tier 1 services and works with families in need of community supports.
